Panchkula’s awaited event, Raahgiri, designed to foster community engagement and promote an active lifestyle, is set to kick off on August 27 at 6 am in Sector 5. After being postponed due to heavy rain on July 9, this event promises a vibrant day for residents.

Organized by the chief minister’s office, the event will feature singer Fazilpuria and captivating presentations by school students and other talented artists. An exciting highlight is the distribution of 5,000 lemon, basil, and gooseberry saplings by the forest department, encouraging attendees, especially children, to contribute to environmental preservation through tree planting.

A rich variety of performances is in store, including Haryana and Himachal’s folk dances, yoga displays, ragini performances, street plays (nukkad natak), gidda, and bhangra by students from local government schools. Private school students will also showcase their cultural talents, presenting items such as the Hanuman chalisa, contemporary group dance, Shiva stotram, and semi-classical dance.

The event’s grandeur will be further elevated by the presence of esteemed guests. Chief Minister Manohar Lal will grace the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by Haryana Speaker and Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta, who will serve as the guest of honor.

Mark your calendars for this exciting day of community bonding, lively performances, and environmental consciousness at Raahgiri on August 27 at Inner Circle Road, Sector 5. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to engage, celebrate, and contribute to a healthier, greener future.
