
Motorola is gearing up to introduce the Moto G54 5G in China this September, marking the successor to the Moto G53 5G, which debuted in China in December 2022 before its global launch in January 2023. Leaked images have given a glimpse of the G54’s design, accompanied by rumors detailing its expected specifications. While the Moto G53 5G featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging, the Moto G54 5G is anticipated to bring enhancements to the table.
Moto G54 5G Launching On September 5th
Motorola officially announced on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that the Moto G54 5G will make its debut in China on September 5. The phone’s model number, XT-2343-1, was previously spotted on the FCC website, hinting at support for dual nano SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 /b/g/n/ac, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity. It has also been seen on TDRA and BIS certification sites.
Recent information from China’s TENAA website, as reported by MySmartPrice, showcases design renders of the Moto G54. These images align with earlier leaks, depicting a slightly raised rectangular camera island housing the dual rear camera unit and LED flash in the top left corner of the back panel. The display reportedly sports noticeable side bezels and a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The Moto G54 is expected to launch in black, blue, and green color options.
According to the same report, the Moto G54 is said to feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate (2400 x 1080 pixels). It’s anticipated to boast 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) on the rear and a 16-megapixel front camera.
Powering the device is a 4,850mAh battery, and it may be available in Ambrosia, Ballad Blue, Coronet Blue, and Outer Space color variants. The Moto G53 5G’s predecessor currently retails for EUR 299 (approximately Rs. 22,100) for the 4GB + 128GB variant and comes in Ink Blue, Arctic Silver, and Pale Pink colors.
