India Post GDS Exam Online Applications Process Begins: Check All Details Here

India post has started the procedure of filling the applications form for the post of GDS (Gramin Dak Sewak). All the candidates who are looking to apply for the same can check the official notifications and then apply for it. Here are the complete details regarding the India Post GDS Exam 2019. The vacancies are for the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh circles. Check it out.

India Post GDS Exam 2019 – All Details

Starting Date: The procedure of filling the registration form for the post of GDS has started on 15th October 2019. The candidates can complete the registration process until 14th October. The form filling process starting date is 22nd October and the last date to fill the form for the post of GDS is 21st November. All the candidates are advised to fill the same on or before the last date.

Application Fee: The fee for the General and OBC category candidates is Rs 100. All other category candidates including female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Age Limit: The minimum age limit to apply for the post of GDS is 18 years while the upper age limit is 40 years. For the OBC category candidates, the upper age limit is 43 years, and 45 years for the SC/ST category.

Vacancies: In the Andhra Pradesh circle, there are total 2707 vacancies. Out of these vacancies, 1178 are for General, 165 for ST, 286 are for SC, 593 for OBC, 384 for EWS and 101 for PWD. In the Chattisgarh circle, there are total of 1799 vacancies. Out of these, 667 are for General, 552 for ST, 232 for SC, 54 for OBC, 222 for EWS, and 72 for PWD. In the Telangana circle, there are total of 970 vacancies. Out of these, 439 are for General, 85 for ST, 119 for SC, 176 for OBC, 114 for EWS and 37 for PWD.

Pay Scale: The selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs 12000 per month for Branch Post Master and Rs 10000 per month for the Assistant Branch Post Master. Candidates must have passed the high school from a recognised board or university.
