Ind Vs SL: Virat Kohli Injured During Practice Session

Virat Kohli was injured during the practice match just before the first match in Guwahati against Sri Lanka. During the practice match, the ball hit his little finger of his left hand while taking a catch. The incident happened in the first part of the practice session of the Indian team.

After the injury to Virat Kohli, team physio Nitin Patel was seen treating him immediately. Nitin applied magic spray to him. It is not yet known how serious Virat’s injury is. However, he was seen smiling when he was being applied with magic spray. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja did not appear in the practice match. This time India and Sri Lanka are playing the first T20I after a gap of 22 months.

Recently India had defeated the West Indies 2–1 in their last T20 series, while Sri Lanka lost 0–3 to Australia in the three-match T20 series. It has been 12 years since Virat Kohli made his debut in cricket and since then Sri Lanka has lost 16 games in a row. However, India was defeated by Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup final in 2014.

Sri Lanka’s record in T20 matches against team India is quite poor. Virat Kohli has played four matches against Sri Lanka so far in which he has scored at an average of over 94. Virat has not been able to score a century against this team in international T20 matches so far.
