CTET 2020 Exam, Check Out the Structure & Content of Paper

CTET 2020 Exam: Central Board of Secondary Education has started the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Candidates who are interested in the exam can check the notification and then fill the application form for the exam online on the official website. The application process will end in February and the exam will be conducted in July.

Structure of CTET Paper 2020

The questions in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will have multiple-choice questions. Each question will have 4 options and candidates will have to choose the right answer. For every right answer, candidates will be awarded 1 marks and there is no negative marking for the wrong answer. There will be two papers in the CTET exam i.e Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1 of CTET: This paper is for the candidates who want to be a teacher for the class 1st to 5th. Candidates who want to be a teacher for class 1st to 5th will have to appear in this paper. Paper 1 for the class 1st to 5th. This paper will have questions based on 5 different sections. The questions of CTET Paper 1 will be from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Each section will have 30MCQ’s.

Paper 2 of CTET: This paper is for the candidates who want to be a teacher for classes 6th to 8th. A candidate who wants to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both papers. Paper 1 for the class 6th to 8th. This paper will have questions based on 5 different sections. The questions of CTET Paper 1 will be from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science. Each section will have 30MCQ’s

Other Important Details About CTET Exam 2020

The procedure of filling the application for CTET exam 2020 has already started on the official website of CTET. Candidates can fill the form at www.ctet.nic.in. The last date to fill and submit the application form online is 24th February 2020. Before filling the application form candidates are advised to read the information bulletin of CTET carefully.

The application fee is Rs 100 for either paper 1 or paper 2. For both papers, the application fee is Rs 1200. This is for the candidates belonging to the General and OBC category. For the rest of the other categories, the application fee is Rs 500 and Rs 600 respectively for single and both paper. Candidates can pay the application fee by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
