Chandigarh Unlock 2 Guidelines: Inter-State Bus Service Will Continue to Remain Suspended

On July 1 Wednesday, the Chandigarh Administration, chose to close the Odd-even system, presently being obeyed in chosen markets and street vendors. The bars will keep on shut and shops and cafes will serve between 10 am and 9 pm. The Administration has permitted liquor in marriage functions with permission from the Excise Department.

In an attempt to stop the spread of the COVID-19 in the city, the administration has chosen that the ‘apni mandis’ and organic markets will remain closed. The inter-state bus service will also remain suspended.

These decisions were taken after UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore, who is also Governor of Punjab, held a meeting with officials on the coronavirus situation.

As per the order of the Chandigarh Administration, the foreign returnees will have to undergo the mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days at the approved facility on a payment basis. After the institutional quarantine for 7 days, he/she will go for 7 days of home isolation if the person tests negative in the first 7 days.

Now, two persons can ride on the bike or scooter and four in cars. In Auto-rickshaw, three persons will be allowed including the driver. The riders will have to wear masks and the vehicles must be sanitized regularly by the owners.

The night curfew in the city will be there between 10 pm to 5 am. The Administration has also allowed the Call centers and Industrial establishments to have night shifts. But the employees have been asked not to come out of the office premises during the curfew.

the administration has decided to continue with the suspension of sports, entertainment, academic, social, political, cultural, religious functions and other large congregations. Gymnasiums, swimming pools, cinema halls, theatres, spas, auditoriums, and entertainment parks will also remain shut.
