Booking Open For Toyota Hyryder, The First SUV With CNG

Booking Open For Toyota Hyryder: According to Toyota, the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV will soon be available in a CNG version. This will thus be the first midsize SUV model to run on CNG. Toyota has opened bookings for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000 even though prices have not yet been disclosed. The CNG-powered Glanza hatchback has also been introduced by the company.

First in Segment: Toyota Hyryder CNG

For the time being, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder will be the only model in its class to be supplied with a factory-fitted CNG kit, making this a significant differentiator for the vehicle. Unsurprisingly, the 1.5-liter K15C, four-cylinder engine from Maruti that already powers the Ertiga and XL6 CNG-spec MPVs will be available with the CNG kit.

Toyota hasn’t officially disclosed the Hyryder CNG’s horsepower and torque numbers, however the XL6’s CNG mode yields 88 horsepower and 121.5 Nm from this engine. As a result, it is reasonable to assume that the Hyryder’s output figures will be comparable.

To be consistent with most CNG models, Toyota has verified that it will only be available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Toyota has also said that the vehicle’s fuel economy is 26.10 km/kg. The XL6 MPV has a slightly higher fuel efficiency (26.32 km/kg), although it has not yet received ARAI certification.

Specs for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG

Additionally, Toyota has disclosed that the mid-level S and G versions of the basic SUV would offer the Hyryder CNG. As the G variant comes pretty liberally equipped with features like full-LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient interior lighting, and side and curtain airbags, the business won’t be skimping on amenities.
