The Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC) has taken a big decision on Thursday and asked the absentee employees to return to work. It has also warned that if the employees do not return to work, they will be fired. The BMC commissioner has issued this order. He said that during the Corona crisis, employees who are not coming to work, they have been given one last warning that if they do not return to work in the next 72 hours, they will be removed from work.
BMC said that instead of these fired employees, other employees would be appointed on the contract. Many BMC employees have not been coming to work since March for fear of getting corona infected. Due to which doctors, nurses, other medical staff, and other departments are under a lot of pressure. Despite BMC’s pleas several times, many employees are not coming to work.
