3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Delhi

Earthquake tremors are felt once again in the capital Delhi. It measured 3.5 on the Richter scale. Its center is being described as Ghaziabad near Delhi. Earlier on April 12, tremors were felt in Delhi. Tremors were felt in parts of Delhi and surrounding areas on Sunday afternoon after a mild earthquake struck the national capital, TV News reported.

No casualty or loss of property has been reported. The quake occurred at a depth of five kilometres. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted out saying he is “praying for everyone’s safety”.
This is the third earthquake in the national capital amid the nationwide coronavirus lockdown. Delhi had witnessed two back-to-back incidents of low-intensity earthquakes in April.
